Dolichandra unguis-cati is a climbing vine in the Bignoniaceae family. A native to the dry forests of Central America and the Caribbean. It is commonly known as funnel creeper, cats claw creeper or cat's claw trumpet. This should be grown in a container as it can be invasive. It would be useful to cover a 100' fence and does look spectacular when in bloom. It can grow to 60 feet or more as it has running roots with tubers that can go on and on. I had one planted next to a perennial Morning Glory where it was kept from running too far. If it doesn't have anything to compete against it, then it will take over. The flowers are a bright yellow around 1-2 inches in a trumpet shape form. I grew mine in filtered shade to keep it at bay a little.
